Western Bulldogs
1. Jarrad Grant, 2. Robert Murphy, 3. Andrejs Everitt, 4. Daniel Cross, 5. Matthew Boyd, 7. Shaun Higgins, 8. Mitch Hahn, 9. Lindsay Gilbee, 10. Nathan Eagleton, 12. Tom Williams, 14. Callan Ward, 16. Ryan Griffen, 17. Adam Cooney, 19. Liam Jones, 20. Josh Hill, 21. Jason Akermanis, 22. Dylan Addison, 23. Jordan Roughead, 25. Ryan Hargrave, 27. Will Minson, 28. Barry Hall, 29. Easton Wood, 31. James Mulligan, 33. Tim Callan, 36. Brian Lake, 38. Dale Morris, 40. Jarrod Harbrow, 42. Liam Picken, 44. Brodie Moles.
Watch out for:
Tim Callan, he won't be great for stats but at his low price he wouldn't have to be. If the Bulldogs play him in the early rounds he could make some money for fantasy teams. If the Bulldogs decide they need a strong little defender instead of another runner in the midfield he could be a regular for them again.
Everyone will be watching what Hall does, and he won't have it easy with Carlile opposed to him and C Cornes and Chaplin getting in his space in front of him. If he gets 3 goals that will be enough for fantasy coaches to stay with him. Roughead would be another Bulldog that fantasy coaches are watching, a good choice for the 4th ruck spot as he would seem to be the clear choice as the 3rd ruckman for the Bulldogs, meaning he is only one injury away from games.
Williams and Everitt have always been players with height and mobility, which can often mean quality fantasy points, but they have yet to cement spots in the Bulldogs' team. Either one of them could be a fantasy bargain if they play regular games. Moles is someone that could make a lot of money for fantasy teams if he plays, there is talk that he is a chance for games as they now have a spot to elevate a rookie for the opening rounds, but for fantasy coaches it would be more useful if he player for the Bulldogs in the second half of the season as he could then be a player to trade for.
Port Adelaide
1. Domenic Cassisi, 3. Steven Salopek, 6. Danyle Pearce, 7. Nathan Krakouer, 9. Jacob Surjan, 10. Travis Boak, 11. Marlon Motlop, 12. Jackson Trengove, 13. Wade Thompson, 14. Paul Stewart, 16. Warren Tredrea, 17. Robbie Gray, 18. Kane Cornes, 19. Nick Salter, 20. Dean Brogan, 26. Andrew Moore, 27. Alipate Carlile, 28. Jay Schulz, 30. Troy Chaplin, 31. Mitchell Banner, 33. Brett Ebert, 35. Chad Cornes, 38. Scott Harding, 39. Justin Westhoff, 41. Jason Davenport, 43. Daniel Stewart, 44. Tom Logan, 45. Cameron Hitchcock, 47. Cameron Cloke.
Watch out for:
Tredrea, while he isn't a player to get with the expectation that he will bring in more fantasy points than his opening price he is someone for fantasy coaches to watch as his inclusion could make a bunch of cheaper fantasy players less useful for fantasy teams. D Stewart, Schulz and Cloke have been productive during pre-season but with Tredrea playing it means lesser opportunities for them. Maybe only Schulz will be a fantasy option, considering he can play a marking role at half forward and Tredrea will be the main target in the forward 50.
Banner, Krakouer, Salopek and Hitchcock could be some of the possible bargains at the Power, they could all excel in this game if it becomes a fast game with a lot possessions to go around. Moore is someone who could really help fantasy teams, with his price and two positions in fantasy AFL, but he may need to do a lot more to show the Power and fantasy coaches that he should be picked for round 1.
The second ruckman battle has not been very entertaining and no clear winner is evident at the moment. Lobbe might be who they go with, or they may decide they don't need another ruckman and will give Brogan a lot of minutes during the regular season and get by with J Westhoff or someone else playing a few backup ruck minutes each quarter.
Cornes and Cornes used to be a great duo for fantasy teams. It wouldn't be a bad idea to give them one more try, especially if C Cornes is free in the back line and K Cornes spends all his time in the middle.
I would say on the teams the Bulldogs should win but I'm not sure as the power have been in great form so far.
