Injury Update - Cale Morton

To miss several months: Fantasy coaches need to remove C Morton from their teams, and think about which Melbourne players can do the things that Morton can, there wouldn't be many. Joel Macdonald, who was already looking like a solid fantasy signing, would seem to be the player with the similar size and playing style to Morton who can play around half back and on the wing and accumulate possessions. They could move Petterd back, he has been playing up forward. The coach at Melbourne wouldn't think about this, but Watts could be very productive in the role that Morton had, Watts has height and is also agile. Bate and Dunn are other Melbourne players who are similar to Morton, and would increase their stats if used in his role.

Morton could be useful to teams later in the season, if he returns with two solid games he could be a player to trade for, when upgrading the midfield.

The injury could also open a spot for a rookie to play, Spencer and McKenzie might be the ones they look at.
