Injury Update - Joel Corey

Missing a game, or two: It will be very hard for fantasy coaches to have Corey on their teams, but if they really want to then there is a way. Corey is signed and sits on the bench for a week or two, a cheap player like Trengove or Morabito starts for those games, and when Corey returns for Geelong he becomes the fantasy team starter. This tactic can save a trade if you are a Corey fan, and can also help you build a different team and that may be useful if you want to win your league.

There could also be a trap for fantasy coaches, if a Geelong player overachieves in the early games with Corey out, you wouldn't want to trade for them as the player could be out of the Geelong side soon after or would at least have lower stats with Corey back. Varcoe, Gamble, Djerrkura, Hogan, Wojcinski or even Duncan could be a Cat that does more with Corey out.

The best idea is to not have Corey for round 1. But if he returns and has a few games with low stats, his price could drop and he may be someone to trade for then.
